Two guarantees, two different questions
Hard pity guarantees a five-star within the configured banner limit. It does not necessarily guarantee the featured character on that first five-star. If your next result is already guaranteed to be featured, the maximum is simply 90 minus your current pity. Otherwise, this planner uses a conservative additional 90 pulls for the subsequent guarantee.
Genshin’s Capturing Radiance can affect the featured-character result. This tool does not predict that mechanism, use a flat probability to promise an outcome, or calculate an average cost. The upper-bound budget is useful precisely because it does not rely on winning an early result.
About the soft-pity picture
The shaded chart uses an illustrative model: 0.6% before pull 74, then an increase of six percentage points per pull, capped at 100%. It reflects a commonly discussed community approximation. This model is documented in a community calculator. No official per-pull soft-pity table was found during our source review; the chart should not be used as a precise probability forecast.
